Facebook for Work coming soon
You like to go on Facebook during the break at work? Soon you may use at work, and not just liker the
articles and photos of friends. Facebook for Business, an adaptation of Facebook for businesses and professionals, would be officially launched in October.
The social network of Palo Alto started the project in 2014 and announced to the magazine The information (link in English) that many companies already used in its test version. Concretely Facebook for Work is an adaptation of Facebook that we know with some additional features, such as storage and file sharing or creating teams dedicated to a project.
Some traditional features of Facebook have of course been retained or adapted as the newsfeed, messaging or creating events. In contrast, Facebook for Work content filter all "non-professional", almost packed when we know that killing time on Facebook is the official sport of the day at the office purposes.
Facebook for Work, clearly meant to counter the social networks of companies like Slack, will pay the difference from the public version. Prices are not yet known, but the rates will change depending on the number of company employees wishing to subscribe.
